This branch of the Hildebrandt family was established on May 27th, 2012. After I graduated with my degree at OSU, Carissa and I had a beautiful wedding north of Tulsa. While we were on our honeymoon I got my first job, which brought us to our current residence in Moberly, MO. We weren't expecting to add to our family here, but God blessed us with beautiful baby Ella on October 10th, 2013, and we are incredibly happy that things happened on His timing.
Every day, Carissa and I learn more about each other, Ella, and parenting in general. It wasn't a surprise when Carissa got the opportunity to go full time with Praying Pelican. We had felt that she was called into missions for a long time, so this was just confirmation. I had always told Carissa, even before we were married, that if God called her into missions, I wouldn't stand in the way. No matter how much I would miss her. We're still working through the logistics, but I'm very proud of her and the life changing path she has chosen to take. Fortunately for me, God has chosen to only take her on short journeys, and we will get to spend the overwhelming majority of our time together.
Our family has a lot of growing to do. We can't wait to see Ella grow, and we know that Carissa and I will both have new opportunities all the time with our jobs. We can't wait to see what the future holds, and what God has in store for us. Please pray for us as our family works our way through this journey called life. God Bless.
