January 31st, 2014

Ella and I ran away to warm weather for eleven days.

Our first stop was LA ,specifically Seal Beach, to visit my dear friend Amanda.
We walked on the board walk and ate In n' Out.

Let me just sway we're all on the move to LA train.

We were so lucky that they let Adam come with us through security.
He didn't complain about the extra snuggle time and got to watch the planes take off.

These are Adam's last snuggles before he put us on the plane.
I love this picture.
It shows just what their relationship is like daddy's little snuggle bug.

Our first shower in Cali!
Not that this is significant but how cute is this kid!!

Here is one of the reasons I would move to Cali!
Food!
Anyone who knows me knows I love good food.
And if its sweet its better right?!

Ella and I got to take Tracy to the boardwalk and check out the HUGE waves.

Ella spent almost the whole trip outside!
It was so wonderful to have tummy time in the gorgeous sunshine.

Here's the number one reason I would move to LA.
It was so great to visit my friend.

This is what I call bare foot grass.

Victoria, Amanda's sister took us to In N' Out.
Ella was just interested in when Amanda would let her have a drink of soda.

Cupcakes from Sprinkles.
I would go with the red velvet next time but they were all delicious.

Ella's first time at the beach coffee shop.

Now her first time at the beach!
She wasn't wild about it.

Things were going fine here but then they turned ugly.

I think I'll pretend like this is a smile.

At least some people had fun!!

I miss California already as we finish our trip up in Arizona.
I can't wait to hug my husband though who is a little under the weather today.

If y'all could send up some prayers for him and my grandpa who's health is failing I would greatly appreciate it.

God here's our prayers and knows exactly how to answer them.

Happy Friday!!!

January 22nd, 2014

Today my sister-in-law signed her let of intent to go to Central Christian College!!
Adam and I are both so so proud of her.

She is the first one in either of our families to finally, as Adam says it, "pull the trigger."

Today is also our sweet puppy Zeke's second birthday!! I can't believe he's already been apart of our family for so long. He is most certainly our first "child." Life wouldn't be quite the same with out him.

Also next year is the big year. He's obsessed with the smell of beer so I told the guys that when Zeke turned three they could let him taste some beer.  I don't think it will really happen but the joke has been a household favorite.

I can't believe at one point he was this tiny. He was such a cute little fluff ball.

He is still just as cuddly as he was as a pup.
I'm so thankful for him and what a great boy he is with Ella.
I only hope we can show him half as much love as he shows us.

It's Adam's Birthday!!!
Hooray!!!
He's 24 finally.

I was super excited about his birthday present this year. In fact so excited that I caved and begged him to let me show him Sunday night. Here is what we got him as well as a few other things that Ella and I pretend shopped for.

Ella and I chose to get him a seasonal subscription to the beer club and that super nifty beer opener.
Unfortunately it hasn't arrived yet. It should be here right when I get home from my trip with Ella.

I love the iPad case for him to be able to take to games and use at work.  We had to send back his iPad we got for Christmas to switch the 3g over to a different carrier and have yet to replace it. Maybe a good Father's Day present. :)

January 20th, 2014

Can I just say that it is still weird that it's 2014.
Every time I type it I think hmm when did this happen.

Last week was crazy busy for us!

Our sweet pup Zeke has been diagnosed with epilepsy.
With that comes a few trips down to the vet until we get all of his med levels straightened out. For several reasons we're treating him through a vet in Tulsa.

You never know how long a trip is unit you've made it with a husky pup and a 3 month old baby. We made it though. Thank goodness! I honestly almost turned around a few times.

It was a trip well spent though Zeke is looking good and hasn't had any other seizures. Ella got lots of cuddles.

Ella playing with her Aunt Chelsea.

Now before I share some pictures I took of Ryan for a class assignment I'm going to share a picture I just found on Adam and I's photo share.

I leave for two days and this happens.... Seriously what is going on here? Haha
Needless to say Adam has some explaining to do when he gets home for lunch.

So I had to grab some pictures for my photography class and well lucky for me we have some great people in our house to photograph. So I politely bribed Ryan with Chipotle and he let me take his picture. Abby I hope you enjoy these. :)

Thanks for the practice Ryan!

Now to get ready for Adam's Birthday tomorrow! Woohoo!!

January 12th, 2014

Dear Ella,

You're three months old now, and every day you seem to get bigger!  I finally had a day to be home with you an your mom.  I had to work 70 hours at a basketball tournament this week, so it had been a few days since I got any time with you.  You haven't been sleeping well, but today I put you to sleep on my chest and it was great because I got some quality time with you.

You're doing great at growing!  Now that your tongue tie is taken care of you're gaining weight like a champ.  You are also a pro at holding your head up and looking around.  One of your favorite things to do is to watch TV, but we don't let you do that too much because it's not good for you.  You also like tummy time so you can look up and look around at everything.  Your mom and I are very excited for the weather to warm up so we can take you outside and you can experience more new things, and I'm excited for basketball to end so I can be with you more.

We love you very much.  Keep growing and learning!

January 9th, 2014

I am so excited for this new year!

On my birthday I started a class with The Define School.  This class is called Through the Looking Glass. Our first project was doing an inspiration board.  It was so much fun to put together!  Since it's been frigid and snowing here I thought a winter wonderland board would be the perfect thing to make snow seem fun.

Here's the board I put together:

It makes me want to grab a friend in a pretty lace dress and explore this beautiful snow we have outside. Who wants to go?

You may wonder what Ella does while I'm working on school work. Well she sleeps super adorably that's what!

And if I'm still not done working....

She eats the leaves on her play mat of course.
Let me just tell you though this girl scooted all the way underneath her leaves to suck on them. When I moved her away she scooted right back.

Adam got off at three yesterday! Woohoo. It was excellent.

We got to get in a little grocery shopping.

When Adam has time to spend with us he spends every moment holding Ella. Even at the grocery store he calls dibs on wearing her.

For dinner we made Zuppa Toscana Soup it was delicious!! The boys even enjoyed it which is a super win in our house.

Now to leave you with a powerful quote::
