Christmas is over officially today. We started a new year and my birthday is tomorrow. Things change on a daily basis I'm sure not only for me and Ella who learn something new together everyday but also for you. This year I hope and pray for my life to drastically changed. I think more so than ever before I understand that God is constantly calling us to be near him. Almost all of Beth Moore's books are free right now so I took advantage and downloaded every single one of them. Today I started the daily devotional "Breaking Free Day by Day." What she says on Day 1 is how I hope to live my life. I strive to be in the place "where His presence is our constant desire and daily joy." (Beth Moore, Breaking Free Day by Day, pg 20.) I hope to strive for this every single day of this next year. I know that I will struggle that I will miss the point over and over again but I can try. That's really all Jesus wants from us right? Like that song you've got to try just T-R-Y, don't say you can't make it never ever fake... and so on. It says if just try that God will do the rest. He will meet me everyday in my struggles and failure. I am so thankful for a God who is always their for us and blesses us immensely.
On a side not Ella Nicolle was baptized yesterday in Stillwater,OK at First United Methodist Church. Her whole family, all the Hildebrandts, Shidelers, and Paige and Ryan soon to be Gaither, was there to celebrate this extremely special ceremony as God marking her as his child. We wrapped up the occasion with a lunch at Eskimo Joe's where Dave Hunziker, family friend and voice of the OK State Cowboys, and DrMac joined us for a delicious lunch. Ella even got her baptism announced over the loud speaker. Adam and I are blessed to be from a state that celebrates the word of God. We can not wait to be back there!
Happy New Year!
